Toyota increases prices of 3 models by up to Rs 50,000

KARACHI: The Indus Motor Company (IMC) on Thursday has decided to increase its three models’ prices by around Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 on the pretext of adjusting higher dollar value, it was learnt on Thursday.

IMC’s internal sources while confirming the news said that IMC has decided to raise its three vehicles’ prices including Corolla XLI and GLI by Rs 20,000, Altis by Rs 37,000 and Champ by Rs 50,000.Read More »Toyota increases prices of 3 models by up to Rs 50,000

LAHORE: Porsche unveils latest Panamera models for Pakistani market

panameraPorsche announced the latest range of second generation Porsche Panameras for the Pakistan market the other day.

The Porsche Panamera SE-Hybrid, Porsche Panamera 4S, and Panamera Turbo will be available in Pakistan in both standard and executive classes. Honda City Aspire launched in Pakistan

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) launched the Honda City Aspire 1.5 at a ceremony held at the Honda Factory in Lahoreon Wednesday.

 

Speaking on the occasion President and CEO Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Takahiro Aoki said that Honda is exploring new horizons of creative technology with a class of exclusivity. KARACHI: Government reduces age limit of used cars’ imports from 5 years to 4

Importers and dealers of used cars have blamed local automobile industry for spreading propaganda against them to reduce the depreciation limit up to four years.
All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association (APMDA) has sent a letter to the prime minister in response to recent government action, demanding to revert back the decision and allow the imports of up to five-year-old used cars.

Islamabad: Local engineer develops device to run car on water

A Khairpur-based mechanical engineer has made such a unique claim that is apparently too hard to ‘digest’ but he is confident that a device recently developed by him can help use water as a fuel to run motor vehicles.

Pakistani Automakers likely to raise cars’ prices from Dec-2011

KARACHI: Local automotive companies are likely to increase car prices in coming days on surging cost of production by uncontrolled utility expenses and depreciation of Pakistani currency against dollar and Japanese currency.
Sources in the market said the Suzuki and Honda carmakers are likely to jack up prices of their brands.
They said Suzuki and Honda were facing a recent increase of Rs 14,000 to 159,000 or 2.1 to 3.5 percent in the price of their car brands in the month of October.

Islamabad: Indus Motors increases car prices

Increasing utility expenses and record depreciation in Pakistani rupee, which in last month only has depreciated by almost 5 percent against Japanese Yen (from 1.0980 to 1.152) and 4 percent US$ (from 86 to 89) has forced the Indus Motor Company (IMC) to marginally increase the retail prices of Corolla, Cuore and Hilux variants with immediate effect.

According to the IMC statement, prices have been increased by around 1.5 percent only on account of very steep decline in Pak Rupee against US$ and Japanese Yen, which is making the imported CKD kits and local vendor parts more costly as the raw materials of vendors are also imported.Read More »Islamabad: Indus Motors increases car prices
