ISLAMABAD: Development work in Sector I-16 in last phase

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed more than 90 percent of the development work in Sector I-16 and the allottees have started construction of their houses in the area, said CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi on Thursday.

He was briefing members of Senate Standing Committee headed by Senator Kulsoom Parveen during their visit to inspect the development work in the Sector I-16 on Thursday.

Member Engineering, Syed Ibrar Hussain Shah, Member Estate, Khalid Mehmood Mirza and other senior officers of the authority were also present on the occasion along with worthy officials of other relevant government departments including IESCO and SNGPL.Read More »ISLAMABAD: Development work in Sector I-16 in last phase

LDA finally decides to launch two new housing schemes in Lahore

 Lahore Development Authority (LDA) decided on Monday to launch two new housing schemes in the provincial metropolis, namely LDA City and LDA Avenue-II, by issuing a formal notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.
The decision was taken in a meeting of LDA`s governing body that was presided over by authority`s chairman and DCO Ahad Cheema.

Participants in the meeting decided that after acquiring land from the landowners and developing the aforementioned schemes, the LDA would give incentive to them by returning 30 per cent developed plots of their total surrendered land.

The LDA would also charge only 50 per cent of the total development cost against the landowners` developed plots. This amount would be received at the time of handing over possession of the plots to them, they decided.

A topographic survey of both the schemes had been completed and the schemes` area had been declared as an LDA controlled area through a notification issued on May 25, 2011.Read More »LDA finally decides to launch two new housing schemes in Lahore

KARACHI: Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Executive Board President and Commander 5 Corps Lt Gen Shahid Iqbal Friday directed the DHA management to tap wind and solar energy available in abundance in DHA City on the Super Highway and indigenously manufacture solar panels and wind turbines for domestic use at a cost-effective and affordable price.

Lahore: Allotment of cheap houses to be transparent

CHIEF Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that the Punjab government is launching a low-cost housing scheme and a procedure is being expeditiously evolved for this purpose. Presiding over a meeting to review the pace of implementation of the low-cost housing scheme on Wednesday, he said the scheme would be completely transparent and allotment of the houses under the scheme would be made in front of the media. He said in the first phase, five low-cost housing schemes would be launched in as many districts while later the scope of the scheme would be extended to the whole province.
