Tuesday, January 08, 2013 – If Dr Allama Muhammad Tahirul-Qadri can bring about a change for the better in Pakistan, it should be diligently welcomed. His political party Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) that he founded in 1990 outlines the mission “to introduce the culture of true democracy, economic stability, improve the state of human rights, justice and the women’s role in Pakistan”. The PAT also aims to remove corruption from Pakistani politics.

Pakistan National Saving Schemes profit rates decreased from 1-Jan-13

The government has revised down the interest rates on the National Savings Schemes (NSS) on investments with effect from January 1, 2013, according to a statement.

 According to the announcement made by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), in response to considerable slash in the discount rate by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the government has revised down the profit rates on National Savings Schemes for the investment made on or after January 1, 2013.

Islamabad G-14 allottees concerned over delay in development work

 The allottees of Sector G-14 of the federal capital have expressed concern over the inordinate delay in the development work of the sector.

 The allottees also pointed out the delay in the report of a commission about houses of affected people, especially complaints of construction of illegal houses and one-room structures.
