LAHORE: LDA set up new wing to monitor private housing societies

* March 31 set as final payment date for LDA Avenue-I allottees


In order to closely monitor the affairs of the approved private housing schemes in the city, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Ahad Khan Cheema on Wednesday set up a separate directorate, called Directorate of Estate Management (Private Housing Schemes), in the authority.

Headed by a director of general cadre, the directorate will function under the administrative control of Chief Metropolitan Planner of the LDA. LAHORE: LDA issues notices to building laws violators in 24 elite housing societies

* Buildings sans approved plan get one week to regularise

After carrying out a detailed survey of approved private housing schemes in the provincial metropolis, the Town Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued notices to the owners who have constructed their houses without approval of building plans or in contravention of approved plans, for getting their constructions regularised within one week. Failure at the part of owners will invoke legal action against their buildings after this period.

Development work in Islamabad Sector I-11 to be expedited

Development work in Sector I11 would be expedited soon as the Capital Development Authority will vacate all the areas under adverse possession by the end of December.

This was decided in a meeting at the CDA Headquarters, chaired by Member Estate Shaista Sohail and participated by the representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Administration, UNHCR, ICT, police and other relevant government organisations.

The meeting was briefed on the chronic issues related to Sector I11, which are real hindrance in the development of the sector. Islamabad Park Enclave plots balloting to be done afresh

There is good news for all those common and overseas Pakistanis who fell ‘prey’ to an alleged fixed balloting of the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) ‘dream’ housing project – the Park Enclave.

CDA proposes City Centre for Islamabad

 The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has submitted a plan to the prime minister to give the federal capital a ‘City Centre’.

 CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal told ‘The News’ on Wednesday that the ‘City Centre’ would be developed in Sector F-12 with inclusion of a portion of Sector F-13 for which a complete plan along with maps has been finalised. “The plan has already been submitted to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for his final nod,” said the CDA chief while disclosing the plan.Read More »CDA proposes City Centre for Islamabad
