AFGHANISTAN-A SAFE HAVEN OF TERRORISTS

  • by

ALI SUKHANVER

February usually brings a very pleasant weather for the people all over the world but this February proved very unlucky for the people of Pakistan. More than hundred innocent ones became victim to brutal terrorist activities; countless injured; hundreds of families were pushed to the hell of helplessness and a lot of damage was caused to the public and private properties. And this injustice was done for what; no one knows. Some people might be of the opinion that the attack on Lal Shebaz Qalander’s shrine in Sehwan had some religious rather sectarian background but what about the suicide-attack on the Chairing-Cross Lahore and what about the terrorist’s attack on the Levies Headquarter in Mohmand Agency. According to the details provided to media, all these terrorist activities were planned, acted upon and monitored by different terrorist groups now settled in Afghanistan. Most of the terrorists in these groups are those who had to run away from Pakistan as a result of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Read More »AFGHANISTAN-A SAFE HAVEN OF TERRORISTS

HAUNTING IMAGES OF KASHMIR

ALI SUKHANVER

London based Indian writer Mirza Waheed very vehemently exposed the real face of the Indian atrocities in Kashmir in his article ‘India is blinding young Kashmiri protesters’. The article was published on 18th July 2016. He says, “Two sets of images have haunted me these last few days. One is a series of photos of people splashing bucket-loads of water to wash away blood from the streets of Kashmir, where Indian forces have shot dead at least 45 people since 9 July. The other set of images is that of scores of young men with bandages on their eyes, before or after undergoing surgery to remove tiny steel pellets from their retinas. Indian forces deployed in Kashmir now routinely use pellet guns to stymie roadside demonstrations.” India is continuously trying to negate the fact that Kashmir belongs to the people of Kashmir; the Kashmiris are a nation, having an individual identity, a separate culture and independent traditional values; and they could never be treated like animals. They are looking to the world around them in search of someone who could save them from the horrible, miserable blazing inferno of human rights violation.Read More »HAUNTING IMAGES OF KASHMIR

THE SONS OF BALOCHISTAN

ALI SUKHANVER

Lal Din Bugti, a Baloch Ferrari commander along with six associates surrendered on 28th January in Quetta and pledged to fight for defence of the country till the last moment of his life. According to security sources, the separatist commander and his colleagues laid down arms in front of Mir Attaullah Kalpor Bugti and FC officer Col Awais. The government sources told media that these Ferrari commanders were involved in anti-state activities including blowing up gas pipelines and other heinous crimes. Now at the call of their conscience, they are back to the lap of their motherland Pakistan. I think a sinner seeking for forgiveness must always be welcomed and honoured. The days are not in far future when all Ferrari commanders who have been playing in the hands of the Indian agencies since long would realize that their motherland is waiting for them with tearful eyes.Read More »THE SONS OF BALOCHISTAN

INDIA AGAIN STANDS FIRST

ALI SUKHANVER

“What an achievement for India. They are now the number One rape nation of the world. Congratulations for achieving this honour. Well done India.” These were the comments of Richard Kong, a reader of the Sputnik International. On 3rd of this January Sputnik International published a story with the title, ‘New Year’s Mass Sexual Assault of Women in India’s Tech Hub Causes Outrage.’ This story was about the incidents of ‘mass-molestation’ on the new-year night. Personally I didn’t like these bitter comments of Richard Kong. Whatever happened there in Bangalore on this new-year night is no doubt a blob of shame and disgrace on the face of the whole of Indian society but it would be unjust to accuse whole of the Indian nation of being a ‘Rapist Nation.’ Moreover rape is not a very infrequent and rare practice in the Indian society. Every year hundreds of women are raped in India and there are so many rape cases which are not reported to the police. Due to corruption of police and judiciary and because of a loose administrative system and selfishness of the BJP politicians, now people of India have started accepting this evil practice as a routine matter. But for the negligence of the Indian politicians, Indian judiciary and the law enforcement agencies, whole nation must not be dragged into a blame game.Read More »INDIA AGAIN STANDS FIRST

When Pakistan real estate got a jolt

The realty sector, one of the major investment avenues suffered a huge setback in the middle of 2016 after the federal government decided to determine the fair market value of properties being bought and sold by people and collect taxes accordingly.

The first six months of the calendar year were in fact encouraging as markets had started recovering from the phase of subdued growth. Of these, the Karachi market needs a special mention as it was earlier performing below par because of the repercussions of terrorism and bad law and order that had dogged the city for years.

A modest improvement in the real estate market of Pakistan’s biggest metropolitan city rekindled investor confidence with huge demand coming from domestic investors, overseas Pakistanis and to some extent international investors.Read More »When Pakistan real estate got a jolt

ATTENTION MR.HOME MINISTER

According to the Times of India, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has warned Pakistan of breaking into ten pieces. While speaking to a gathering in Indian-held Kashmir a few days back, he said, “Pakistan has been divided into 2 countries in 1971. If it does not stop cross-border terrorism, it will soon be in 10 pieces.” It is possible that this statement of Rajnath Singh might have elevated his political status within a limited circle but for Pakistan such foolish statements have no importance or value. It has been a very old tradition of the Indian politicians, particularly of those belonging to the BJP to blame, threat and to warn Pakistan because they are misguided by their misconception that by doing so they can win the hearts of the Indian people. It is a day-light fact that there is no hatred for Pakistan among the Indian people. Every year so many delegates from India come to visit Pakistan and so many go there from this side and no one ever complains of any misbehave or maltreatment in either country. Different businessmen from Pakistan have very close business relations with the Indian business community and there are so many who are engaged in joint trade ventures in other parts of the world too. India is a country of more than 138,188,240 Muslims according to India’s 2011census. This number equates to roughly 13.4 percent of the country’s population which at the time was over 1 billion people. Even today Islam is the second most popular religion in India. So it is almost next to impossible for the people of Pakistan to hate a country where their Muslim brothers are living in such a large number. It is also true that there is a small fraction of the Hindu extremists who are a continuous threat not only to the Muslims but also to the Christians, Sikhs and to the low-caste Hindus too. But in BJP, these Hindu extremists are in majority.Read More »ATTENTION MR.HOME MINISTER

ONCE MY BROTHER-BANGLADESH

  • by

ALI SUKHANVER

Standing along the Line of Control looking across the border into the land belonging to India, we the Pakistanis wish that we were alone and companionless as the company of our closest neighbour India is simply like a pain in the neck. From the war imposed on us in 1965 to the tragic Fall of Dacca in 1971, and then to APS Peshawar massacre on16 December 2015, so many times this closest neighbour of us tried to make us believe with its brutal behaviour that one must be careful of one’s neighbours. To tell you the truth, it is India’s selfish attitude which has simply destroyed the peace and prosperity of the whole region. None of the countries in the Indian neighbourhood is safe at the hands of Indian hegemonic designs. Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Burma, Bhutan and even India’s bride Bangladesh, there is not even a single country which could say that it has no conflicting issues with India. What is the root cause of India’s enmity with its neighbouring countries, what are the factors which have made India hostile to its neighbours; no one knows. But one thing is very much obvious that the South-Asian region could have been a paradise of peace and prosperity on earth if India had not been so hostile and aggressive to its neighbouring countries.Read More »ONCE MY BROTHER-BANGLADESH

  • by

ALI SUKHANVER

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture India has been the largest exporter of beef in the world in 2016 followed by Brazil, Australia and the United States. Even in 2015, India was the world’s top beef exporter. The CNN said in a recent report that Buffalo meat exported from India is cheaper. That helped the country generate record export earnings from the beef last year, although growth is moderating from the 30% annual rate seen between the years 2010 to 2013. The cow is honoured and respected as a sacred Read More »EXPORT OF SACRED ANIMALS FROM INDIA

NUCLEAR INFLEXIBILITY

ALI SUKHANVER

Ali display picNuclear technology could be a serious threat to the world peace if misused. To keep the world safe from the possible hazards of nuclear technology, almost all countries and all nations are very much conscious. In this context, a meeting of the NSG countries was arranged in Vienna on 11th of this November. In this meeting China once again maintained its tough stand on the issue of new membership of the NSG and called for a two-step, non-discriminatory solution to admit non-NPT members into the 48-member elite grouping.
