Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said on Monday that the Authority was committed to the development of Park Enclave within 18 months as the CDA had 100 percent possession of the land on which the Park Enclave Housing Scheme had been envisaged.
He said that each and every penny on account of land acquisition and compensation for the built-up-property had been paid and nothing was pending with the CDA regarding Park Enclave.
Talking to the media after the inaugural ceremony, the CDA chairman said that the entire area of the Park Enclave has already been demarcated and work for development of the scheme would be awarded in a week’s time. He said that the CDA administration organised an event to inaugurate the development work; however, some people tried to disturb the development process unlawfully and shouted slogans.
The CDA chairman said that no one in these people belonged to the Park Enclave Housing Scheme rather they were from Kuri Village and other adjacent areas. He said that the law and order situation should have to be taken care of by the police and local administration as the area magistrate had been assigned the task.
Engineer Farkhand Iqbal said immediate steps would be taken to resolve the issues of the people regarding the development of the stalled sectors.
He said Park Enclave is a unique housing project and the whole project’s land was in CDA’s possession and the issues raised by the locals mainly pertained to Kuri Village and other areas. He assured the residents that they would be taken on board on all developments in this regard.
The chairman apprised the journalists that Park Enclave is an eco-friendly housing scheme, and the first of its kind in the vicinity.
He said the area where the Park Enclave has been envisaged is under the CDA’s possession and development work on the scheme would not be halted.
The chairman said he had already directed the member estate to resolve the issues of the built-up property in the areas of Park Enclave Phase-II, which the CDA was contemplating to launch with a view to provide housing facility to the low-income class. Apprising about the development process of Park Enclave, the chairman said development work on the project would be completed within 18 months.
He said the Park Enclave would have underground utilities, water treatment plant, rainwater harvesting mechanism, open air restaurants, club house and controlled access at the main gate.
Talking to the media, Prime Minister’s Task Force on Islamabad Chairman Faisal Sakhi Butt on Monday resolved to initiate a new era of development activities in the federal capital with the development of residential sectors as a priority. Daily Times report
