Islamabad: Land mafia hinders inquiry of plot allotment in Sector I-14

Land mafia has been putting hindrance in the inquiry of fraudulent allotment of 20 plots in Sector I-14 of the federal capital.

 Capital Development Authority (CDA) sources said that the scandal was surfaced in April 2012 and affectees of Sector E-12 were allotted plots through fraud in Sector I-14 while CDA Board in 2009 had banned plot allotment to affectees of Sector E-12 unless they give the possession of land. Islamabad: Balloting of Park Enclave Housing Project held

 The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday held the balloting of residential plots of the Park Enclave Housing Project. CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal conducted the balloting by punching the key of a computer at CDA Headquarters. A large number of allottees were present on the occasion.

As many as 613 residential plots were allotted through the computerised balloting. The CDA chairman, while addressing the ceremony, said that development work in the scheme would be completed as per commitment.

That is why according to anchor Khalid Butt, his “Qeema” was made.  On the issue of dual nationality last week he wrote an article, the reference and contents of which became hot topic and base of many sane voices in more than a dozen talk shows.  In his said  article showing  figures and ratios he apprised the nation to the anger of PPP that it was the poor Pakistanis working in the Middle East holding only  Pakistani passports sending more money compared to their earnings the rich Pakistanis holding dual nationality from Europe contribute through their remittances.  This had to be relied because same day simultaneously an international report also appeared as how the remittances were playing its role in the development and sustainability of many countries.  In case of Pakistan the ratio and figures shown in this international report were taken from the World Bank data.

UK to interview Pakistan students seeking visa

* Study shows 48 percent non-credible applicants granted visa in Pakistan

KARACHI: PTA restricts SIM purchase limit up to 5 per CNIC

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has revised the limit for purchase of SIMs from 50 to five for one individual in its amended Subscribers Antecedents Verification Regulations.

According to the new rule issued on Tuesday, an individual can get subscription of five SIMs – prepaid or postpaid—on one Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) from different or one cellular phone companies.
