Real Estate Regulatory Authority being setup

Pakistan government is setting up Real Estate Regulation and Development Authority for regulation of real estate sector. Appellate Tribunal is also being setup for resolution of disputes.

Following are salient features;

  • All real estate agents will have to register with the authority.
  • No development project will be announced without approval from the regulatory authority. Real estate promoter will not be allowed to buy/sell plots or advertise housing schemes without approval.
  • For approval of new housing development project, developers will submit details of completed projects and future development plans.
  • To protect public interests and improvement of real estate industry, “Central Advisory Council” will be announced which will act as advisory body for the government as well. Secretary level officers form Interior Ministry, Finance Ministry, Law Ministry, National Housing Foundation and Naya Pakistan Housing Program will be inducted into the authority.
  • Chairman will be appointed by the government.

Lahore: Governing body of LDA has approved new policy to encourage vertical buildings in the city.

 Salient features;

  • Hospital parking length will be allowed up to 200 meters compared to 100 meters previously allowed.
  • Medium rise buildings up to 160 feet height allowed on 30 feet roads as well.
  • On the ground floor of 250 square feet multi story building, construction of 450 square feet shop is allowed
  • Public utility sites could be used for parking vehicles.
  • On the plots having less than 10 marla and more than 4 marla size, construction of 72 feet high building is allowed.

دہری سم والے موبائل فون صارفین متوجہ ہوں

وہ تمام حضرا ت جن کے پاس پاکستان میں دہری سم والے موبائل فون ہیں ان کےلۓ ضروری ھے کہ وہ موبائل فون کے دونوں آئ ایم ای آئ نمبرز کی تصدیق 15 ستمبر سے پہلے کروا لیں ورنہ جو سلاٹ وہ استعمال نہیں کر رہے وہ بلاک ہو جاۓ گی۔

پی ٹی اے کے مطابق ایسے بہت سارے لوگ ہیں جن کے پا س دہری سم والے موبئل فون ہیں لیکن وہ صرف ایک سم استعمال کر رہے ہیں اور اگر انہوں نے دوسرے آئ ایم ای آئ نمبر کی تصد یق نہ کروائ توایک سلاٹ پلاک ہو جاۓ گی۔

Pakistani mobile phone subscribers using dual SIM mobile phones are advised by PTA to register both IMEI numbers with DIRBS system before 15th September. Otherwise, unverified slots will be blocked. Earlier the deadline for registering dual IMEI numbers was 30th August but now it has been extended in the best interest of subscribers in order to give them another chance.

Policy for allotment of plots to LDA City files holders

Lahore: LDA has devised policy for allotment of plots to LDA City’s affected 8000 file holders.

As per the recommendation, balloting for the allotment of plot numbers will be held on 21st December 2019. Policy for development charges for different categories of plots has also been finalized.

Development charges will be as follows;

Development charges for 1K plot 2500000 rupees
Development charges for 10 Marla plot 1675000 rupees
Development charges for 5 Marla plot 1150000
Development charges for 1K plot (for private developers file holders) 1250000 rupees
Development charges for 10 Marla plot (for private developers file holders) 837500 rupees
Development charges for 5 Marla plot (for private developers file holders) 575000
