Following are the details of an article published in the daily THE NEWS written by Aamir Mir regarding Mian Nawaz Sharif’s exile deal in 2000.
PML-N President Nawaz Sharif’s repeated assertion while the general elections are near at hand that he had actually been sent into forced exile to Saudi Arabia by the Musharraf regime runs contrary to an October 2007 verdict passed by a seven-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

SOLAR POWERED PROTEINS FILTER ANTIBIOTICS FROM WATER

 A tiny solar-powered filter made of two bacterial proteins absorbs more than 50 percent more of the pollutants.

In addition, the filter developed by a team at the University of Cincinnati, can release the captured antibiotics so they can be reused, Voice of America reported.

Pakistani student wins silver medal at INEPO

pakturk-studentA Pakistani student has bagged silver medal in the 7th International Environmental Project Olympiad (INEPO Euroasia) held in Baku, Azerbaijan where students from 47 countries presented 123 projects.

Alvaz Adnan, a student of PakTurk School Lahore, presented her biology project on removal of dyes from effluent of factories and won a silver medal.

Honda City Aspire launched in Pakistan

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) launched the Honda City Aspire 1.5 at a ceremony held at the Honda Factory in Lahoreon Wednesday.
