Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) project to develop Shaheed Benazir Bhutto campus of University of Malakand, Sheringal Dir, NWFP will enable 980 students to get higher education opportunity.
HEC has submitted the project to develop Benazir Bhutto campus and it will be helpful in spreading higher education, said a news release issued here on Friday.
The project approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) of Planning Commission will provide quality education facilities to the students of Dir (Lower), Dir (Upper), Swat, Malakand Agency, Chitral Shangla and Buner, Districts of Malakand Division and FATA including Bajawar and Mohmand Agency.
The project will help provide proper academic facilities in terms of infrastructure and trained manpower for functioning of academic activities of departments of forestry, management studies, law, computer science and education, said a news release issued here.
Through the project, at least 14 scholars will get opportunity to obtain Ph.d degree from technologically advanced countries of the world.
After completion of the project, the enrollment of students will not only be enhanced but it will also generate direct and indirect employment of professional skilled and unskilled staff.
Professionally trained manpower, produced by these departments will be capable of playing a vital role in the development of the area and the country at large.
