Punjab Government plans to carve a new district from Lahore

LAHORE: The Punjab government plans to create a ‘Ravi district’ from the existing districts of Lahore and Sheikhupura, Daily Times learnt on Monday. According to Punjab Civil Secretariat and Board of Revenue sources, the Ravi district will consist of Shahdara area of Lahore district and Ferozwala tehsil, while some adjacent parts of Muridke and Sharaqpur tehsil will also be included. Two divisions: The sources told Daily Times that the government plans to bifurcate Lahore division into two divisions – Lahore and Sheikhupura. According to the idea conceived by the Punjab Board of Revenue, the new Lahore division will consist of Lahore and Ravi districts, whereas the rest of the districts of existing Lahore division will be included in Sheikhupura division. The board is preparing a summary in this regard to be approved by the chief minister. Lahore will be the second metropolis to house mutiple districts after Karachi. The number of divisions in Punjab will reach 10 after establishment of Sheikhupura division. The existing nine divisions of Punjab are: Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and DG Khan. According to the sources, the government has also decided to carve a Chiniot district from the existing Jhang district.

We want to bring in your kind notes some very important matters regarding misuse of staff services and misbehave of higher management. We have to works still late hours if we do not work we have always treat dismissal from job and other ways of teasing & other important matter is which absolutely volition of State Bank various circular.

    The bank bound us to work on holidays as on Saturday & Sunday also it is declared as super recovery drive and not any benefit against wastage of time is pay to us but also we suffer wastages of time & wealth & health.

    The Government has announced the leave of Saturday to save energy but our bank is violating these instructions & causing the failure of this policy. On other hand we are human beings and we need to rest after very working of five days. Its our right to rest on Saturday & Sunday but we are bound to come in office otherwise the behaviour of higher authority is very harsh and the sword of dismissible from job is always hanging on our heads

    Mostly clients are not corporate with us for repayment on these days because their attitude is that staff is using their money and bank is not open on Saturday & Sunday. We are always in hot water from both sides the clients do not corporate and banks management attitude is harsh.

    It is requested in grate honour to please lock in this matter personally and warn the higher management for this un-humanistic & unfair attitude.

    Please our rights of leave should be given which is snatched from our bank kind check that most of our branches of our bank are working in these two days (29th of May and 30th of May).
