ISLAMABAD: The Pakistanis living abroad have the obligation to give a helping hand to their home country in this tough time and enhance the remittance to Pakistan, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Babar Awan said on Saturday.
During a meeting with President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Mohammad Ijaz Abbasi, the minister stressed all expatriates, having assets in foreign countries, to transfer their capital and augment their remittances to Pakistan “If Pakistan is stable, we all would be stable, and without Pakistan we have no identity,” said Mr Awan. He said that the present government was aware of the problems of common man and was working to overcome the economic problems. He appreciated the role of businessmen as they were contributing significantly for the development of the country. He assured them that the concerned standing committee was considering the Rent Control Act issue and will be promulgated immediately after approval.
