Lahore: Allama Iqbal Int’l Airport to be expanded

LAHORE: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to go for development and expansion of Allama Iqbal International Airport to address existing congestion problem and accommodate growth in int’l traffic.

This was briefed by Syed Aamer Mehboob General Manager / Airport Manager AI1AP Lahore. He, elaborating the feature of the plan, informed that the project being supervised by M/s NESPAK has been designed to augment capacity of the terminal ie international / domestic lounges and airside services including provision of Avio bridges and improvement / enforcement of infrastructure to accommodate Airbus A-380. In this regard MOU has been signed between Vikram Singh Soda Director planning and development CAA and Ejax Saeed Director NESPAK on July 30, 2007 in the office of Syed Aamer Mehboob General Manager / Airport Manager AHAP Lahore
