UNIVERSITIES and institutes of higher learning are participating in an educational expo today (Monday) in which visiting students will have a chance to clinch scholarships.
The moot is likely to attract a large number of students, teachers and people from different lifestyles. THE Jang Group of Newspapers in collaboration with WATEEN will organise the first of its kind The News Education Expo 08 at Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel here on Monday (tomorrow).
A large number of universities as well as institutes of higher education from both public and private sector will set up stalls there, which will provide an opportunity to students to get first-hand information about universities and institutions of higher learning across the country.
The participating institutions will disclose details of their educational programmes and courses along with admission criteria, fee structure and other necessary details there too.
The event will prove a good opportunity for students especially for those who plan to seek admissions for higher education during the upcoming academic session. Educationalists and students 3while talking to The News appreciated the Jang Group of Newspapers efforts for organising the moot. They said the expo would prove a great service for students and their parents as all the required information about admission would be provided on spot.
The University of Central Punjab (Punjab Group of Colleges) is the Platinum Sponsor of The News Education Expo 08 while Hajvery University, University of Management and Technology (UMT) and Pakistan Institution of Fashion and Design are among the Gold Sponsors of the event.
Silver Sponsors of the expo include Forman Christian College University, Superior University, American International School System, Fatima Memorial System, Falcon Education and Consultancy Services, KIPS, Rise School of Accountancy, COMSATS, CFE and National Testing Service (NTS).
