CDA plans to launch housing society for overseas Pakistanis

Capital Development Authority (CDA) is likely to launch Overseas Pakistanis Housing Scheme measuring 10,000 kanal of land in the areas including Kurri Model Village, Kurri Road and Agro Farm Scheme.

CDA’s Member Land Khushal Khan said they have initiated a land survey in many areas after preparation of proposal for Overseas Pakistanis Housing Scheme.

This residential scheme for overseas Pakistanis would be developed in line with the international practices in which 5,000 plots – -5-marla, 10-marla and one kanal — would be offered on instalments that would be paid in dollars.  Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during a meeting in the recent past also asked CDA to develop housing scheme for overseas Pakistanis to provide them profitable, safe and secure investment and residential opportunities.

CDA is hopeful that it would earn billions of rupees through this housing scheme as foreign investors are showing strong and tangible interest in investment opportunities in Pakistan, including in the real estate sector due to the visible and internationally recognized economic progress achieved by the country.
