LAHORE: If Pervez Musharraf is an unconstitutional president, the present assemblies and their cabinets are also unconstitutional, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senior Vice Chairman Amin Fahim said on Thursday.
Talking to ARY TV, Fahim referred to a statement given by a PPP spokesman, who had said that his party had never recognised Musharraf as a constitutional president. Fahim contended that if Musharraf were an unconstitutional president, everything taking place under his presidency was also unconstitutional. Fahim said that former PPP chairwoman Benazir Bhutto wanted him to become the prime minister if she could not assume the office for the third time because of constitutional restrictions. daily times monitor
