Margalla Tourist Train launched in Islamabad

Capital Development Authority has formally launched its Margalla Tourist Train Service.
The tourist train launching ceremony was held at Rose and Jasmine Garden on Friday. Senior officials of Capital Development Authority were present on the occasion.
The tourist train will start from Rose and Jasmine Garden and will reach Lok Virsa Museum through Garden Avenue. The journey by Margalla Tourist Train Service would enable the tourists to catch sight of green Shakerparian area along with National Monument, Lok Virsa and Pakistan Museum of Natural History. Margalla train service will get going daily at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm from Rose and Jasmine Garden for two hours back journey. Initially the children will be charged Rs 10 while the adults Rs 30 for the journey on Margallah Tourist Train Service.
Launching Margalla Tourist Train Service is evidence of keenness on the part of Capital Development Authority to take care of recreational and aesthetic needs of the residents of Islamabad and visitors from across the country. The train will be a major attraction for the children. That is why the visitors particularly children will have to pay nominal fee to ride the train.
