HASINA ENGAGED IN A WAR OF LOVE AND HATRED

Ali SukhanverReactions count a lot. In December 2013, a Resolution was passed in Pakistan’s National Assembly which condemned the hanging of JI Leader Mullah Abdul Qadir in Bangladesh. This resolution was the reaction of Pakistan. In response to that resolution, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh had crossed all moral and diplomatic limits by saying that there is no Place for Pakistani Friends in Bangladesh but at the same time her government was showering ‘Bangladesh Liberation War Honour Award’ onto some lucky Pakistanis. Sheikh Hasina is a very complex and complicated character in the strange story of love and hatred. Love and hatred are the passions not much different from blindness. Love compels us to ignore and overlook all flaws and demerits of the person we are in love with; while hatred makes us forgetful of all positive and constructive characteristics of the person we hate.
