Punjab Governor Ch Mohammad Sarwar launched his official website on Thursday to expand his liaison with people by including the online medium for increasing his interaction with masses.
This website www.governor.punjab.gov.pk was formally launched as a means to post updates regarding governor’s activities, statements, policies and stance on various issues.
The inaugural message from Governor on the website was for promoting provision of clean drinking water to school children.
The message titled ‘Clean Water – Save a Child’ said this initiative is to deliver clean and safe drinking water to the school children. This initiative has been phased up with the aim of providing clean drinking water to approximately 100,000 school children in the 1st phase. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has a vision to provide education and missing facilities in government schools to every child and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is implementing this vision in Punjab.
Children are the future of Pakistan and their welfare is government priority. One aspect of the missing facilities is clean drinking water for these schools which, the Governor said, he was endeavoring to provide as he believed that “All have the right to clean drinking water”.
