Islamabad: Land mafia hinders inquiry of plot allotment in Sector I-14

Land mafia has been putting hindrance in the inquiry of fraudulent allotment of 20 plots in Sector I-14 of the federal capital.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) sources said that the scandal was surfaced in April 2012 and affectees of Sector E-12 were allotted plots through fraud in Sector I-14 while CDA Board in 2009 had banned plot allotment to affectees of Sector E-12 unless they give the possession of land. Sources said that 18 out of the 20 affectees are from Sector E-12 while two are not from the said sector.

Deputy Director Reinstatement Rifaqat Hussian, Assistant Director Malik Abid, Admin Officer Ashraf Mughal and Sheikh Rashid and assistant Shoiab have termed the signatures fake adding that they have not processed the case. On the directives of the Member estate, Deputy Director General security Muhammad Razzaq Kayani has started inquiry into the fraudulent allotment case.

It merits mentioning here that Deputy DG security had written a letter to member estate on 02 May, 2012 demanding permission to check signature of the officers who claim it fake from Federal Investigation Agency but inquiry was pending due to the delay in the approval.—INP
