7 January 2010: Changes to the child visitor immigration rules from 1 January 2010. The changes apply to exchange or educational visits to a school in the UK for up to 6 months. For more information about the changes please visit the UK Border Agency website.
04 January 2010: British passport holders and dependent visa applications. If you, or any dependents you want to travel with, are applying for a first time British passport at the same time as applying for a UK settlement visa for a dependent relative, you are strongly advised to delay your UK dependent visa application until your British passport has been issued. First time British passport applications may take longer to process than a UK dependent visa. If you apply for both at the same time, then your UK visa may expire before you can travel and you may have to reapply and pay another fee.
21 December 2009: Update on settlement application processing times. The UK Border Agency is now pleased to inform customers that the backlog of settlement applications has been reduced. Most settlement applications will now be processed within 12 weeks.
30 November 2009: Fingerprint checks at the UK border. From 30 November 2009 the UK Border Agency is introducing fingerprint checks at the border for passengers with biometric UK visas. On arrival in the UK, passengers will have their fingerprints scanned at border control in addition to the normal checks that take place. The fingerprints provided will be checked to verify that the individual entering the UK is the same person who gave their biometric data when they applied for their visa. In the majority of cases the passenger’s right hand thumb and first finger will be used for the check. 6 November 2009: Delays to settlement visa applications. There is currently a backlog of settlement applications which are currently taking 12 weeks or longer to process. The UK Border Agency is working hard to reduce this backlog. Please take this in to account when deciding when to make your settlement application or if you are waiting for a decision on your settlement visa application to be processed. If you have an enquiry about a settlement application, please send your email to UKHUB.PAKISTANGeneralEnquiries@fco.gov.uk.

Hello everyone,
my case is one of kind coz i have applied for study visa in January 2009 i was refused then i appeal against it and i was allowed by the judge in UK i resubmitted my document with new acceptance letter from college the date was 26 Nov 2009 after 11 months of waiting i received my passport back with again refusal that contain only rejection on the base of MY COLLEGE HAS NOT GIVEN A PROPER RESPONSE TO THE OFFICER SO THEY DO NOT THINK THAT I WILL STUDY THERE and i have given again a time of 28 days to appeal against that.
When i have contacted the college they say yes we have receive your inquire and we have approved that he has accepted for the course they have approved that i have submitted the fee for the course but when i have told them about the refusal on that base they said what else can we say are only job is to verify the student details that they are true or no
NOW WHAT CAN I DO?
CAN THEY REALLY DO THAT?
SHOULD I APPEAL AGAIN COZ THE REFUSAL BASE CONTAIN ONLY ONE POINT ?
REFUSAL COLLEGE HAS NOT GIVEN THE PROPER RESPONCE ON BEHALF OF MY SIDE

I applied for Tier 4 visa on 7th December 2010, my current status(application under process at British High commission) changed on 22 December. What does that mean. And much more time they will take …my uni already started.
hii i’ve applied for tier 4 general on 13th january and my status updated on 16th that visa application forwarded to embassy for processing. and now its 27th but still status..im very worried.

AOA. How long is it taking these days for process of spouse visas? Also if anybody has had a refusal of spouse of visa then accepted after appeal. How long after appeal do you get a letter from the embassy to submit your passport for visa?

If my matric, FA and Fsc is not mentioned in my CAS letter and only my bachelor degree is mentioned. Do i need to submit all of my education documents to the British embassy for a study visa to UK or only the document that are mentioned in my CAS letter for obtaining the admission in university?
